The recent emergence of Gideon Moi into political limelight and rallies has ignited new opinions and rumors of a breeding political formation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Gideon Moi who went into silence after losing the 2022 Baringo senatorial election was recently seen accompanying a host of politicians allied to the Azimio One Kenya Coalition. This group led by Kalonzo Musyoka has been doing series of Meet and Greet rallies especially in Mount Kenya region.
What now leaves many asking questions is the appearance of Gideon who since losing election was not being seen in any political forums or gathering. Some sources reveal that Gideon Moi had a meeting with former president Uhuru Kenyatta some weeks ago.
It is believed that, in the meeting that no credible source can confirm, the two discussed 2027 political move that can ensure the so called dynasties are back into active politics. Uhuru is still a very vital figure in Mount Kenya politics and so it is believed that his effect can be used to sway the region behind one candidate.
It is also possible that Uhuru is slowly drifting away from Raila Odinga who is now seen more focused on strengthening his ODM party by conducting grassroot recruitment of members especially in their strongholds. Other than that, his move to go for the AU commission Chairperson can mean him being inactive for the 2027 elections. The Kalonzo camp include Gideon Moi, Mwangi Wa Iria, Eugene Wamalwa.
