Police in Narok central sub county have arrested two Ugandan nationals witchdoctor for allegedly deceiving Narok residents and extorting money from them by claiming that they got powers to recover stolen items, arrest suspected thieves and solve others problems.
The two, a 50 year old woman and a middle aged man were arrested by police in Lenana estate within Narok town, after the residents raised concerns of their sorcery like activities.

According to Narok central police commander, John Momanyi the duo who in most cases are said to use swam of bees on the suspects to draw attention from the public, were arrested with some strange objects among them weaved baskets, water bottles and plastic containers allegedly use to perform the magic.
An assortment of herbal powder, snail shells and some material wrapped in papers were among other paraphernalia found in the house within Lenana estate.

Momanyi who spoke to the press in Narok town town confirmed that the arrest followed an outcry from the residents who claim to have paid the witchdoctor to help solve problems they were undergoing but did not get any help in return.
The police commander however said more investigations are still going on in order to ascertain the claims.
Residents led by Douglas Masikonte reacted to the arrest saying the Sorcerer has become a center of attraction in Narok town where hundreds of people have been flocking his rented house to seek her services.

On 22nd August this year, there was a commotion in Narok town after an alleged boda boda thief showed up with a swam of bees all over him, pushing a motorcycle which is said to have stolen from Kumi Kumi area within Narok town after some magic was done by the witchdoctor.
Hundreds of people within Narok CBD came out to watch as the witchdoctor who refers to herself as ‘Dr. Mama Tiba’ perform her black magic on the alleged thief to remove the bees from him.
Similar cases have also happen in different places in the country, among them in Kitengela, Kericho, Eldoret, Mombasa among other places.
